There have been reports of various issues, some crippling, on computers where Service Pack Three (SP3) has been installed.

We think that you should wait to install this service pack until Microsoft has released a prerequisite fix they are working on, that must be downloaded before SP3 can be installed safely.

Many people have downloaded and installed SP3 without incident, but we think that given the number of incidents reported with the SP3 install, it is prudent to wait.

Keep your antivirus and other security updates current and you will be ok.
